Okay, so at work there is a professor who has asked me to help him find a wireless headset that will work with his laptop so that he can communicate via skype to a student for distance education while teaching a class.

I am having some difficulty in finding a wireless headset with a microphone, the ones I have found on newegg dont' have any reviews or anything.

If anyone has any advice or experience let me know. Thanks.

Try HelloDirect.com.

I have http://hellodirect.com/catalog/Product. ... ODID=12214 and I got it from HelloDirect. They are a prefered distributor at my work.

I can make it all the way to the coffee machine and not miss a call.

hah, these things aren't cheap are they?

Thank you for the input.

What about bluetooth? Maybe get a bluetooth card for his laptop and then a bluetooth headset? It would be less costly it seems, but would the quality be just as good? What do you guys think?

Sometimes bluetooth headsets like the ones for cellphones are tricky. Something about music that can be played over the headset breaks some copyright law or some such junk.

I have seen bluetooth gaming headsets, but I don't think this guy wants both ears covered if he needs to teach a class while being on the video conference.

I found another one, its on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-Wireless-Computer-Headset-PC-Microphone-VoIP-Skype_W0QQitemZ330010512917QQihZ014QQcategoryZ80183QQcmdZViewItem
This one seems to be a good bluetooth alternative, plus it's cheaper, alot cheaper.

Has anyone had any experience using bluetooth headsets with a computer? Are they as good as non bluetooth?
