HELP no power to monitor, mouse and keyboard

Please help. My other computer is having serious problems. When i go to turn it on my monitor stays black and my mouse and keyboard does not work. Also i do not hear any beeps when i turn it on. What could this possibly be? Thanks, Stacy!

Try unplugging the lead on your motherboard that goes to your reset switch. (Usually a twisted pair of blue and white) It sounds like it is jammed down.

Your monitor power has nothing to do with your keyboard and mouse power. Does your monitor LED turn on? There is a difference between power and picture. Also, make sure that your mouse and keyboard are plugged in the right slots. I have mixed them up before

I tied what you said. it didnt work. When i turn on my computer there is no picture on the monitor and my mouse and keyboard do not work. Everything is plugged in right. Any other suggestions?

There is an LED on most EVERY monitor. Does the LED turn on when you turn the monitor on.

Are the mouse and keyboard USB?

When you turn the monitor on, does the LED turn on, NOT THE PICTURE.
