alright, well I need Windows SP2 on my area 51 5620, but in order to do so I have to change some of the BIOS settings, and I got the info on how to do that on alienware's site. 1 problem, the BIOS requires a password, and since I was ignorant at the time I bought it second hand not knowing alienwares policy on that. I took out the back up battery being told that resets all the passwords, but I still cannot get a password for the BIOS, any suggestions. I need SP2 because the games I play all now require SP2 and that is the reason I bought the LT in the first place. Thank you.

What BIOS settings do you need to alter in order to install SP2? I have never heard of that in my life.

well, when I tried to install it, the OP just keeps resetting and stays in a blue screen of death stage, and keeps rebooting. so I did a search on alienware's support site and it said you have to set 1. set throttle duty value to 0.0%. 2. disable clock chip. 3. select ACPI Table/Features Control Sub-Menu. 4. disable C2-Stop Grant option. 5. disable C3-Stop Clock. and save changes.

Contact the person you bought it from and get the password from them.
