HELPPPP!!! Bad DirectSound driver v2.4 error code: 80070057

for some reason my windows media player, real player, win amp wont' work
windows media player says that i have a problem with my sound device or i don't have a sound device installed
but all my WINDOWS sounds work
its just the music that cannot be played
when i tried to use win amp
here's wut came up

Bad DirectSound driver v2.4 error code: 80070057

and i have a presentation coming up in a week which requires me to use my sound.
if anyone can help me

Reinstall WinAmp. Check for all of your sound drivers and update old ones.

it didn't work
for each driver i try to update it says that there was not a better driver than the one i have already installed

try to update the driver....check at the control panel.....

Error code 8007057 leads to

E_INVALIDARG...80070057......One or more arguments are not valid error

So there may not be any valid resolution. Try to uninstall the sound drivers in safe mode and then reinstall.

well how do i reinstall
how do i make sure that it won't get worse if i uninstall it
