I recently bought a HIS x1650pro 256mb DDR2 gfx card to update my seriously aged 9200se since then i have had countless problems! The card fits in nicely the power supply is moderatly beefy (600w) but when ever i load up a full screen window, play a game or even open CCC is hangs, crashes and even constantly restarts my computer. I get the out of range on my LCD, my board is a Gigabyte K7VT00P-RZ. I've heard the x1000 series card have some problems with certain motherboards so i think it could be that. After sending the x1650pro back for a refund i ordered a HIS x1950pro with 512mb of GDDR3 and that had the same problems any suggestions?

Have you tried updating the drivers?

Is your card kept cold enough, maybe it overheats when starting some more hard-core processing ... ?

If it's restarting your system it sounds like it could be overheating yeah.
