hi, i found my laptop pretty slow , so i wish to add ram . Can anybody teach me how to add ram to laptop ?( i know hwo to do it for destop but not laptop)

i seen before people open from the keyboard...

There's usually a compartment on the underside of the laptop. Not too much different than changing a desktop. It just looks a little different.

As far as your second question download and run PC Wizard 5000. In the hardware mainboard area it will tell you your max module size and your max ram size:

thanks for the reply - but what is the maximum value i can add? if i mix pc 133 and pc 100 will be ok ?

that information indicates that you can add 256 more megs of ram. i dont know what speed as it is not shown with this information but if you click the hardware tab on the left, and then type here exactly what it says besides "Physical Memory" this will allow us to determine what type of ram, and tell you where to get it. As well as this information, it would be useful to know the laptop make and model.

Try http://www.crucial.com . I bought my laptop RAM from there. They will tell you exactly what to buy and that it will be 100% compatible.
