Hello

I have found my Laptop one day and suddenly not supporting the mouse pad (TouchPad). (i.e the mouse pointer is not moving as it should. )

how can I fix such a problem ?

I look into the Device Manger and the (mouse and pointer) is not identified, I tried to reinstall the driver ,which was SP/2, using the recovery cd that came with the laptop, but the driver has been changed into Alps and did accept the SP/2 again. (with the SP/2 the pointer is moving freely and stop suddenly which is not good too).

I need your help friends if you know who to solve such a problem.

It's the ALPS driver you should be using, have you tried downloading the latest one from the hp website,

If you have the recovery cds from your computer you can try installing it from your drivers and applications cd or whaterver you have.
or even easier just reinstall the operating system. you dont need a mouse to reinstall and when you reinstall your OS it will work like new and your mouse will work too.
