A very nice person just sent me a new CPU (P-4, he thinks). I AM NOT a computer tech. I can plug in all the regular bits, but my old machine has a second harddrive which holds my personal files. I want to transplant it into the new machine. Anyone have good clear directions (and, hopefully, a diagram) for how to do this?

In fact, I'd like to get a good basic computer maintenance manual. Any suggestions on that?

Thanx

Basically all you really need to do is remove the secondary hard drive from the old PC and plug it into the new one. The hook up should be identical to the old one.

Set them side by side and open up the side of the case. It is a very simple procedure that doesn't need much knowledge.
