Belonged to my mother, who has passed it on to my kids-
She has it password protected and can not remember the password so it has sat for a few years.
Is there anyway to bypass the password?
I have tried disconnecting the battery, tried resetting the two pads in the DIMM- still keeps coming up with password?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Wendy

Whats the operating system? BIOS startup password or windows login password?
I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

Um, I am not computer literate lol..
I beleave it is the Bios startup.
When I power it on it goes to the IBM screen, says hit F1 for settings that also asks for a password. So basically cant get past the start up page of IBM - immediately asks for the password right after.
I have no problem taking it in to get fixed - just really dont want to pay a fortune for something that may be simple.

Thanks
Wendy

Didn't mean to infer you were...just asking the starting questions ;)

Looks like some worthy software to try out there.

Also seems to be many other solution sites available:

Good luck!
