sorry bout this--- i'm still having problems.

I already have a DVD rom and CD-RW on my secondary IDE cable, so i installed the already used HD, as a slave, on the primary one.

however, when i start the computer, windows runs fine, but there's no record of the HD i installed.

tips and comment will be GREATLY apreciated

thanks again

did you set it up in the BIOS?

Did you actually set the jumpers on the hard drive, or just hook it upto the free port on the cable?

axe is right, u will have to set the original drive to master and the new (used one) to slave.. more than likely the drive that was already in the computer was set as "stand alone" or "single" drive. if this is the case it will not work when you simply connect another drive to the system.
