Hello there...Could anyone tell me what are the difference between AMD Sempron and Athlon?I just want to know because I want to buy a new PC.Thanks in advance for those who can help me.

The Sempron is basically a slower Athlon processor.

Number of threads it can handle at one time. Athlon is a MUCH better choice if you plan to do anything other than email and internet. but even today's internet could use the help of an athlon or Pentium grade processor.
