Hi,

I've got a laptop which I've had a couple of years now. I'm not sure what model it is as I got it through a company who have rebranded it.

The battery is a Panasonic CGR-B/T19SE-MSL (p/n: 442573400015), so the laptop might be a Panasonic...

Anyway, a couple of months ago the battery 'died'. By that I mean that the laptop won't turn on without the P/S connected, and shuts of instantly if I remove the P/S. The charge is showing at 0% in Power Management.

Does this mean the battery IS dead, and I need a new one, or is there anything else I should check before forking out £100+ for a new one?

Laptops without batteries suddenly become useless....

(Even though I use it as my main pc; I like to be able to take it in another room to work on, which I can't without shutting down, taking the P/S with me and starting up again, which is a pain!)

Hope someone can help - I've given all the details I can think that you'll ask about...

Peter.
