I'm looking for a good headset, and I need it to have a clear microphone! my price range is anywhere up to $100 but somewhere from $20-70 would be best. anyone know of any good ones?

I've been looking and found these ones to look pretty good...

I would check out Sennheiser headsets from Newegg or directly from their site.

I have been using them for years and have never had any problems. They have excellent sound output and input quality with their mics. They are in your price range too. Check out the Sennheiser PC 155 or 151.

If you want something a bit cheaper as far as price goes, you could look at some of the higher end Plantronics headsets, which are also quite good I hear.

What are you planning to use the headset for?
Does it need to be wireless? Would bluetooth be best for this? There are other wireless techs that use electromagnetic vibrations...

Would you use it on a standard audio out jack on consumer brand electronics: tape player, CD player, stereo, TV, and computers?
or the XLR?
What about for a phone? 2.5 mm or 3.5 mm jack, proprietary phone connection like Nokia or Sony Ericson?

I have read many negative comments about the steelseries.
A prevalent complaint is wearing a headset while wearing glasses.
Another concern is the head sizes it can accommodate.

As for the microphone, there are a few options I have seen: built into earpiece, detachable, and attached boom.
I have seen the built into earpiece and attached boom option in both retractable and nonretractable corded headsets.
