Here's probably a stupid question, but I'll post it anyways, despite the ridicule I may to face tomorrow.

I have a Westell Modem/Router. It doesn't permit loopback. Meaning I cannot view a webpage by going out on the internet and back to my pc to view my webpage. Now the stupid part of this whole thing. If I use "Anonymous" surfing software, could I essentially defeat this loopback drawback in my modem?

So let me try and understand this:

You are hosting your own website on your PC and your router does not allow you to view your website on your PC?

I can view it using http://localhost/ but I can't view it using the external IP. So, if I CAN view it using localhost, how can I be sure that it can be viewed from the external IP (beyond my router) unless I try it? So, rather than trouble somebody else to check it for me, it seems it would be easier and faster if I checked it myself.

Forward port 80 in your router.

Find your router in the list to find out how to forward ports on your router
