Memory RAM Codes

Hello!

I want to upgrade my memory and I would like to know what are the most important characteristics should have the new one.

I would like to know what means the codes that have the one I have in my computer right now:

Memory type: DDR-DIMM
MB: 512
(Now comes the codes I have no clue what they are:)
PC2700
CL2.5

What Should I look for? Just any memory DDR, Ir they need to be CL2.5 and PC2700?

I'd appreciate any information.

You just don't upgrade memory. You have to go by what mother board is in the machine. You can add memory but it has to be according to the mother board specifications.

oh really? How do I know that? I mean. I know what motherboard I have, But I don't know its compatibilities
