Sometimes when I use the computer I get somthing like waves going accross the whole screen. They appear and dissapear after a while. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I have a Proview PL866B 18 in.

Possible causes / solutions

1. Monitor cable not fully plugged in - check your connection (or check wire for kinks or damaged spots)
2. Graphics card not fully inserted into socket - check graphics card (assuming it's not integrated into the mother board)
3. Power fluctuations. - A good UPS should solve that.
4. Sitting too close to another monitor. - two monitors sitting side by side could trigger this. I know because mine does the same thing when I have both monitors on.
5. Unshielded speakers too close to monitor - move speakers farthur away.

Also check to make sure your cell phone isn't too close to the monitor. My old cell phone used to do this alot.
