I've never been good at estimating wattage needed so I always buy the most powerful PSU out there I'm going to be getting a 850 SLI psu for my new system, and I do know all about amperage but i'm just wondering if 850 could power this setup:

13 hard drives(i'll be using splitters if you were wondering)
Floppy Drive
Card Reader
CD Burner
DVD Burner
Asus A8n
2 BFG 512 gpus
2 gigs (2 x1 gig sticks) of Ram
A64 X2 Toledo Processor
Raid Card
NIC
80mm fan
7.1 Speakers
and the sound card

I'm thinking that I have way too much stuff in there and even with a PSU that maxes at 950 I won't be able to power it all. What do you think?

850 will be fine. You could get away with the 600OCZ.

It is a little outdated, but it is still a good guide for a min requirement and its better than taking a guess and getting it wrong.

I just use it generally like it says a hard drive is this amount so i take that amount and multiply it by how many hard drives i have, and the same with everything else.
