motherboard Q

hey people i was wondering because i have a uv fan and it requires a molex connecter 2 power the uv light ring around the fan. Now my motherboard is a asus a8n premium and you know if your using a sli configuration your required to plug an extra molex into the molex connector on the motherboard (just below the cpu) would it be possible to connect my uv fan there? thanks alot

As long as the wires on the passthrough cables are of the same or greater gauge wire as the actual PSU wires, should be fine. The fan would only draw a few mA off the 12v line.

You should be ok, just don't plug a high-drain device into it like a graphics card.
