my mouse suddenly stopped working. i tried changing the batteries, then the mouse and the problem is still there. there has been no knocks to my pc, i have not installed any new hardware/software. any ideas of how to remedy this problem, is it a problem with the motherboard as i dont have a usb mouse. is this problem related to a virus and what might have caused this? any help greatly appreciated
cheers

Maybe there is something wrong with the wireless receiver. Have you checked that yet?

Also, you can check device manager to see if there is a problem with your USB ports.

One other thing I found:
Quote:
If your wireless mouse stops working, and you already changed the battery, you may need to reset the channel.

On the bottom of your mouse and the receiver you'll find a little button. It may be small and require a paperclip to depress, or it may be a good size with the word "connect" near it.
