I have connected the hard drive through IDE cable(replaced the Dvd player for it) and it starts up perfectly i can enter some files in the hard drive.. but i cant enter "OWNER" file it says "access denied" my OS is xp home edition.

I also have tried to connect the hard drive as a slave with my main hard drive
but my computer wont start up. it says "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device" i tried to to this i restarted but then an other screen shows up says "Error! USB device failed to initialize! primary slave hard disk error"
