I recently finished building a computer for the company. This is the first time I'm using a raid configuration on any computer i worked on. So I pretty much followed the motherboard's manual and used the raid config utility before installing Windows 2003 Server on it. After the 4 HD's were put in a raid 5 set, i proceeded to install windows 2003 server...but now, its stuck on the windows install screen. Its hard for me to tell whether or not windows is still loading (i would assume it should be fast as hell, considering theres a dual core processor with a gig of ram in it). Its been about 15 mins now, did I do this right or should i configure raid after i install windows?

oh yes...and i didnt create a raid driver disk because I didnt have a floppy drive, and secondly, WHO THE HELL USES FLOPPY ANYMORE? LOL Thirdly, the manual only specified to create a floppy driver disk if I was installing windows 200/XP. So if that could be a problem, let me know. Thanks!

To me it sounds like you followed the correct procedure. To test whether or not it is the RAID config being naughty, dissolve the RAID and then install Windows on one of the hard drives. If it completes then it is the RAID giving the problem. If it doesn't then you have some kind of hardware issue.
