Ok last one, this one should be pretty basic, and I know what a token ring is jus don’t know how it really works…

Q4.
a) Describe the normal operation of the IBM Token Ring LAN technology. Your answer should include and explanation of the following:- token capture, priority/reservation mechanism, transmission, receipt and removal of an information frame, monitor bit usage.
b) Ring management is an important aspect of the IBM Token Ring technology, whereas it is non-existent in Ethernet technology. Discuss why this should be so.
