Hello
My friend just just upgraded his memory from 4GB to 8GB
He has a HP Pavillion Dv6 laptop with Win7 64bit. he baught 8GB of Centon DDR3-1333 (Two 4GB sticks)
We removed tho old RAM (1 stick) and added the 2 new sticks 4GB each of Centon RAM
But in the Win 7 poperties only 4Gb(3.86 usable) show up :( all 64 bit editions of Win7 support at least 8GB of RAM
Why do we only see 4GB, his Win7 version is 64bit?
Thanks in advance

Are you 100% sure it is 64-bit?

I swaped the 2 RAM sticks and now all 8GB show up in the BIOS and Win7
I don't know why it only saw 4GB before but now it working great.
