Hey guys,

Ever since i installed my new motherboard (DFI Lanparty Pro 875B) my PC Hasn't been able to turn itself off when i press shutdown.

I have been told its something to do with my BIOS or APM settings but wasnt told exactly what.

Someone mentioned something in my power options on the advanced tab to tick something in there but i only have 1 tick box which is to show the icon in the taskbar.
It wont let me put the computer on standby either.

If anyone can help i would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

System specs
    XP Home
    2.86ghz p4 overclocked
    512mb RAM
    Sapphire ATI Radeon 9600 256mb
    DFI Lanparty Pro 875B motherboard

Intel® 875P chipset
- Intel® 82875P Memory Controller Hub (MCH)
- Intel® 82801ER I/O Controller Hub (ICH5R)

So being that power option is built into BIO's
go into them first ,and check ACPI check in BIOS ( if its available)

That board also has CMOS Reloaded option ,you might want to check that out too.

Also from years of seeing no shutdown on home P/C's
due to corrupted sound drivers ,if all else fails uninstall
your sound drivers and reinstall them (seen it 100x ) P/C
won't shutdown cause of the sound drivers are corrupted.

The ACPI was enabled already

CMOS reloaded just saves BIOS settings

I reinstalled my sound driver and even used a different d river but no luck :(

Any other ideas?
