Is your old PC giving you any BIOS beeps at all ?

If you are getting BIOS beeps, refer to the BIOS manufacturers website for what they mean.

As for your other PC, does the same situation happen when you don't have your computers connected ?

i think that y have a problem in yr RAM or bios
if y have 2 RAM check if thes RAM are a same frequece
for Bios, if u have a problem with bios y must lestin some beeps
if it 2 beeps y have a problem in yr ROM bios
6 beeps problem in yr proccesing (CPU)
5 beeps the problem is in yr keyboard
9 beeps the problem is in yr motherboard and this is a big problem
bye

If the computer does not come on at all, it's not a bios or memory problem. Sounds like the power supply has gone out, you should be able to pick one up from a local computer shop for about $35.00. It's a breeze to change out, should be able to do it yourself.

Hope this helps........

I think it might be the power supply as there is no bios beeps or any response at all,its as if there is no power cable going into it,but there is.

Are you sure your monitor is working. That would explain why there are no beeps and the LED is on. Your computer could actually be fine.

perhaps the (normaly red) switch on the back of the power supply is set to the wrong setting? 115 is the correct one if in the U.S.
