does anyone know of any Opteron Motherboards that have a 16x PCI-E grapfics slot as well as dual processor support.

hmm looks like its going to be £100 more than i thought to build a Opteron PC, all because of the EEC Buffered Ram....

lol, that 100 quid has taken Opterons out of the running.... Anyway, byt the looks of things you'll be able to get opteron style performance on 939 with AMD's new Dual Core chips, ive been told that they'll be commin out march/april ish, right on my birthday :p

what is the FSB of this motherboard?

man I can imagen one of this, the speed would be so great you could actually see the computer hovering lol.. Am I right? :lol:

All new 64Bit AMD chips dont have a "effective" FSB, they have a HT Bus which runs at 2Ghz.

No, you still have the "FSB x Multiplier = Clockspeed", the FSB is 200hmz. But the "line" where Ram data is passed around(which is what the FSB is) is 2Ghz, or as it is called the Hyper Transport Bus, thats why athlon 64's have alot lower Ram latincies because the ram controler is onboard unlike the P4's where it is on the Norhtbridge.

think of the FSB on AMD64's like you do DDR Ram, its actual speed is slower than its effective speed
