So I have this thing called a Sentinel Hardware key which allows me to use a certain program by providing a license when attatched to the parallel port of a computer.

However, when attatched to the parallel port on one of the computers, it is not being recognized. I have tried on multiple pc's and this one pc seems to be the only one not recognizing the device.

Any tips or reasons why it wouldn't see it? Thanks.

Figured out it was a defective parallel port on the motherboard, and nothing that could be done for this machine. Unlucky that I tried picking this one as the licensing server first.

Issue solved.
