I am building my own computer for the first time and I was wondering if anyone here with a bit more experience than me could look over the parts I plan to buy and tell me if I need anything else or can afford to get rid of a few things or if they would like to recommend another part. My budget is 500 dollars.

Crap, I think all of the links got messed up. There is a space in some of them where there shouldn't be.

Links work. Maybe you should look for a motherboard combo. If you are on a budget you should wait for the best deal. It looks like your motherboard/CPU were a good price. Maybe look through Newegg.com. CPU/Mobo combos usually end up costing you less.

Oh wait - that memory is actually a sodimm, which is laptop memory.

Here. This is also faster then your mobo can support, but it will just run at the lower speed. It's cheaper then the others there, too. You may want to buy some heat spreaders for it, however. They only cost around 10 bucks.

If you want to spend a little less money, you can get this, 512mb for a less price. It's also faster then your mobo can support. That's okay.

The video card looks decent. It'll work fine for most games, although it will not run some high-end games.
