Hello guys,

For buying a new laptop, which is better? And for using the next Windows Vista, which would give a better performance?
Please give me some advice. I really need this because I´m planning to buy a new laptop.

Thanks in advance

Play it safe, wait untill the OS actually gets released before buying a new laptop for it to run on.
This is Microsoft we're talking about, not even they know when Vista will actually get released.
Who knows, there may be somthing better suited at Vistas launch than there is right now. :D

The bad news is that I have just sold my old Laptop and I need to buy another one now to work with, can´t wait any longer. Which do you suggest me to buy: Pentium M centrino or Centrino core Duo?

Yes, I know what they mean, but my question is: Is there a big difference between the performance of these two? And is it worth invest more money for a Core Duo instead of a Pentium M?

Thank you all for your help. I´m clear now.
So, I´m thinking of buying this:
Toshiba Satellite A105-S4014 15.4" Notebook PC (Intel Core Duo Processor T2400, 1024 MB RAM, 120 GB Hard Drive, DVD SuperMulti Drive)
But this comes with Windows Media Center 2005. I have never used this OS and I don´t know how it works? Is there a big difference between this and windows XP? And if I don´t like it, can I just format the partition and change to XP with no problem in recognizing the hardwares?
Please help me

Very interesting.
But if I do not like the Media Center features, can I replace the OS with a normal XP pro ?
