Post 3+ Months Ago

I just moved to Pakistan and will stay here for atleast 3months. I used to play poker while in Canada and sort of got addicted. Now the network is not connecting from here in Pakistan :( . I even have high speed internet here but it still won't connect. While connecting to network status for interpoker.tv the computer just keeps on trying to connect and never goes through.

Can some one please help.

This addiction is killinme :)

Assuming you have Windows, go to Start > Run > type : cmd /k ping interpoker.tv

Get back to me with the results.

First of all thankyou very much for the reply.

This was the result i got when i ran cmd/ kping interpoker.tv.

Pinging interpoker.tv [209.200.130.30] with 32 bytes of data:

Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

Ping statistics for 209.200.130.30:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),

I m not very computer savvy, but it looks like it is not running.

It times out for me as well but I can access the site (united states). So a ping isn't going to get you much since it seems they have ICMP blocked.

It could be that they are blocking your particular ISP's IP range for whatever reason. They don't have a contact e-mail on their site so i can't help you there. You may be out of luck.

you do also know that the pakistani equivalent of broadband is essentially dialup for north america. i saw some report in wired where [the fcc equivalent] said that 200 k down is "broadband" over there. maybe that is a contributing factor.

So is interpoker.net

The ping probably isn't working because it's most likely disabled on their end.

If the poster can get to either one of those, you'd be playing the same game.

interpoker.tv [209.200.130.30]
interpoker.com [209.200.130.29]
interpoker.net [209.200.130.29]

The poker website could prevent people from certain countries from accessing their website/poker software. This has been done in some cases to prevent fraud.
