If you can afford it, MacBook Pro.

I you can't afford it, MacBook.

If you can't afford either, like me, then Dell, HP, Compaq, it really doesn't matter. They all have a lot of the same guts, just find one with a design and external features you like.

Dell laptops have gotten a lot better in the past year or so.

i would say they are pretty good, cheap, reliable and i've used mine until i couldn't put it on my lap because it was so hot and it still worked perfect, i think it was on for about 8 hours. And they're really good value.

yeah the harware is brilliant, but really expensive, if you've got the money i guess, but being a student i need something that barely runs office and that'll do
