I have a new build PC, when I start it up I dont get the power on self test beep. I know the speaker works because I tested it.

Does anyone have any idea why I dont get the post sound. The PC seems to work ok.

The MBis a GA-8IDML, I cant seem to find anything in the BIOS which turns it on or off.

Some computers just don't have the beep. I know mine doesn't and it works fine.

Any particular reason why you need it?

Thanks for reply.

I thought all PC's did it, just as power on self test. I know you get audible errors if something on ther mobo is not right.
Butr I guess if PC working all right, then leave well alone.
