my power and reset buttons are not working right. When the comp is off, the only way i can start it up is by switching the power supply switch off then on.
Its all plugged into the board right.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

the board is made by Elitegroup if that helps.. don't know what model

help is appreciated, thanks.

If you can even turn it on then its your case. Take off your front panel and see if your connections are unplugged or clogged with dust. If not then you have to replace the panel with the power switch in the front. Unless someone else has a hack for it.

Everything is plugged in right.. if i hold in the power button it well restart the comp, thats the only thing it will do. The reset button doesn't do anything at all.
I heard there was a way to control what button does what but i don't know how to do it.

If your running windows in the control panel (in classis mode) go to power options then to the advanced tab. You can change it in there. But this will only affect it when windows is loaded. This also relys on the actual switch itself. So the switch itself has to be working.
