Hi

Help me...

I have HP Pavillion PC using XP and USB modem - every time I log off the USB modem is lost. So when I start up the PC it finds it as new hardware and I have to install it again - this happens every time I shut down the PC. I have run the latest service pack for XP but it isn't fixed the problem. Oh, by the way the modem is a Binatone ADSL500 if that helps

Any ideas?????

Cheers

Phil

Are you logging in as Administrator or just a regular user? If your just logging in as a regular user try logging in as Administrator and see if that will cause it the HP to remember the modem is installed. Other than that check to make sure the Modem isn't faulty.

Check that you have installed the right driver for your operating system and check system compatability.
