Where are you getting your stuff from , thats just madness ?!

I read it in a magzine. That was around 4-5 months back i think. I think it was just released at that time so the mag reviewed it along with its price.

there are 2 a8n premium boards here... one is around 160$ which is retail and the OEM one is around 90$. Which one is the one i should buy ?

I wanted 2 graphics cards too soo can i Buy one 6800 right now and another one later on ?

Get the retail version. With the OEM version all you will get is the motherboard, no manuals, drivers, cables screws etc. OEM products are fine if you are getting a HDD or CPU in my opinion, but for things like graphics cards, motherboards etc I go for the retail package as you get lots of bundled goodies.

Ill just buy the same thing again. The question is, is it better to have 2 6800 Cards in the a8n Premium or have 1 great card ? Because as you said, when we use 2 cards their speed is halved.

It is entirly up to you, with SLi you could get the same great performance with two cards that you can get from one card, but spend a lot less.

My 6800GS setup gives me "similar" performance to a single 7800GTX, yet I spent just half the amount.

The idea behind SLi [ or one of them ] is that you buy a great card now ... wait until they become cheaper and buy a second to boost your machine.

Hey, where do you get those tool kits which contain screw drivers and all the stuff for your computer ? Can someone provide me a link to a good tool kit for computers ?

Hey, Amd athlon 3500+ 64bit is equal to how much GHZ ? In other words what is the equlivance intel processor ?

the 3500+ is 2.2GHz but the 3500 monicker is supposed to mean it is comparable to a 3.5GHz P4.

Amd confuses me. Does that mean it'll run at aroiund 2.2 Ghz or 3.5Ghz ?

The AMD64 3500+ will show on your system properties as running at 2.2Ghz. What the 3500+ at the end of the processors name is saying, is that even though it only runs at 2.2Ghz, it can process the same amount of data at a similar rate that a 3.5Ghz Pentium 4 would.

Basicaly, AMD processors compute more data per clock cycle than Intel, this does not mean that AMD are better than Intel though. All it means is that to get the same performance from an Intel as you would an AMD, you are required to get a slightly faster clocked core.
