I know you need one with lots of Lumens and screen size, and thats about it.

Do any of you have any experience in "what is a good projector"?

I want this for games and movies.

InFocus ScreenPlay 4805 is good one and not very pricey. The whole series of InFocus is good.

you also have to look at the contrast ratio... depending on the lighting of the room, where it's going to be projected on, etc. that's where you decide things like the lumens, contrast ratio, dimensions, etc.

if you'd post specs of the room, if you have any backlighting, sidelighting that isn't going to be taken care of

i used to have a benq projector that i was very happy with... my father being the person that he is, donated it to my church however.

but yeah, that's all i can say until i have more specs to tell you

good contrast ratio for a room is 1500:1 - 2000:1
good lumens for a room is 1500 - 1800 lumens
then screen size is obviously going to depend on resolution 1024x768 and 16:9 is going to be your preferred for watching movies
