We currently have (RAID1) setup on this server with 2x160GB HDD. The 160GB is partitioned into 50GB(OS) & 100GB (Data)

We want to change to (RAID5) 5x500GB HDD. Working with 2 Drives. A & B, then having the other 2 mirrioring A & B. Leaving 1 drive as a backup ( Spare )

Now here is where is gets a little mad!
I want to ghost the 50GB (OS) partition to A
& ghost the 100GB (Data) to B

Then using a tool like "partition magic" re-allocate the remaining space to A & B.
I am really not wanting to reload this server :(

Now I know to setup the RAID5 I will format the new drives but once this is done can I remove the drives & ghost the info?

Thanks for the assist folks
