OK were i am at there is a cable modem hooked to one computer and it works but i want to hook more computers up to the modem what do i need to do and what do i need

by the way the cable modem only has one out jack

i called them before and they said you need to get them to come and install a router and pay $50 for the install and a extra $10 a moth to hook up 2 computers
so i have a wireless ruter that i am going to hook up and then install a wireless pci card to my dasktop
