hey guys..
actually i hav intel motherboard D845GEBV2..it only supports DDR 266 or 333 BUS speed of RAM...i currently m usin 512 mb DDR/266...now i want to upgrade it to 1GB..but now 1GB comes in like 400 BUS speed or more...so i jus want to knw whether it will work on my motherboard or not?..
cuz the bus speed is more than the board supports...

Most motherboards are capable of down-clocking the memory to make it work on a slower bus, but this is highly dependent on the hardware and the firmware. i.e., not all motherboards will do this. Most of the intel boards are pretty damn good at that though, so I'd be willing to bet it'll handle it.
Keep in mind that all your memory is going to run at the speed of the slowest stick of mem, so be careful if you're going to mix and match them.
