I installed Delta Force Xtreme on my laptop
P4 2.4 GHz
Windows XP
1GB RAM
64 MB ATI Radeon Mobility 9000 (Latest Catalyst Driver)

And for some reasone it runs like crap, really choppy on almost all levels when i can run doom 3 on medium graphics and it runs nice and smooth. And whene i installed DFX it set the recommended video settings and they work like *plum*
So then I installed it on my family Desktop compuer
P4 1.7 GHz
Windows XP
512 MB RAM
32 MB NVidia GForce 2 (Out of the Box Graphics Driver)

And on this computer, it runs fine on minumum specs smoothly and on my laptop, it runs choppy even on minumum specs. What could possibly be wrong with it?

Weird, your laptop has more than enough to run the game. Only thing I can think of is maybe a glitch with ATI drivers. Roll your Catalyst drivers back to the previous version and see what happens.

ATI is bad news. Always has been, their drivers don't even hold a candle to nVidia's.

Oddly enough my experience has been more the opposite. I would check for spyware on your laptop. Things should be humming along just fine with those specs.

I've used ATI for a while now and have had no problems. I find the ATI vs nVidia debate as boring as the Intel vs AMD debate. It is all up to user preference.

That's a very bold statement. Proof? :?

well, the driver wasnt what was wrong, but I emailed the company(NovaLogic) and they are taking a long time to reply. Its VERY weird to me because I play black hawk down on it and it runs fine on high specs, and this game DFX runs like *plum* even on low specs. This is the first game i ever had problems with running on my laptop.
