Russian writing

I installed windows XP Pro a couple days ago and before that when i would look at some russian files it would be in russian but after i installed windows XP Pro i put some songs and the were just some weird characters. Can anyoine help me fix this?

It looks like your windows cannot read the file type. What is the file type you are trying to play?

Okay, looks like you are missing the MPEG-3 Layer Codec.

Above is a link to the Codec installation. Install that, and try to play a "mp3" This should decode it and you should hear the sound. Post back with the result.

I can listen to the song its just that the title is messed up. Its sapposed to be in Russian

Oh, maybe your computer does not have Russian language packs.

1. What media player are you using?
2. Did your old computer have russian language pack on it?

You may have to install a language pack onto the media player, I can get that for you. Just need the name.

Im using windows media player 10 and i dont know if it had any language packs. If you can please tell me where i can get the language packs than.

WMP 10 does not require language packs. Please give me time to do research. I will get back to you.
