I could definately have some fun with that mobo axe. For instance swap the keyboard error with "Hey, your not the usual guy." unplug the keyboard and get friends/family to boot it up while I "go to the bathroom"
Strong with this one, the sudo is.

or you could have it say "ERROR, ERROR, Now Reformating Hard Drive please reload the windows operating system....."or "Good morning Dave" <- I think it was from 2001 space odyssey or something like that :D

lol i never really thought about what a computer would tell me... well when i used to have an emachines i could feel it laughing at me whenever i tried to play battlefield lol

but yeah... building ur own computer is the best feeling ever... i personally like the unpacking of the stuff for some odd reason...

and u can actually point at each piece of hardware and say "I HANDPICKED IT!"

well, at least for me that's cool enough =)

of course, u will probably end up w/ higher end hardware too and all that good stuff =)

To put in my two cents, Ive used newegg for parts for some time now. The prices, ease of returns if you have a problem, mostly free shipping and getting stuff from across the country in 2-3 days is really nice.
Motherboards are like anything else, you get what you pay for.
I have built several machines around inexpensive m/bs though and not had the first problem.

CASE:
If your building your own PC my advice is to always use good quality parts like the case. There are so many crap cases out there that are really horrible to open to add parts to.

MOTHER BOARD:
Also read and read about motherboards and get the most reliable and stable one and NOT the fastest because speed does not make that much deference.

RAID?
Also one question are all PC’s RAID now cos I two want another PC and I have always had a uncompressed C drive but all my important work is on a separate hard drive partitioned so I have a 3rd drive as my web server drive?!? So the question is to RAID or not?
Read my Movie Reviews punk!

well, i already bought the parts with a sony dvd writer, audigy es, print server,50 ft network cable for 5 bucks, a x-dreamer case, 2x 256MB RAM cards, athlon xp 2800 barton, xp pro full with sp1a, microsoft black keyboard&optical wheel mouse, and a 120 GB hard drive. plus i already have a video card at home so I can just use it. This is gonna be a family pc. plus i have a 52x cd-rw and a floppy drive. 2 cd drives...that rocks!
