Your going to have to include a bit more info on this one.

What is it slow doing? How long have you had it? What type of hard drives do you have? Is it a Dell, HP, or similar branded pc? How many programms are loaded at bootup? What is the main use of the pc? What operating system are you running? Do you have problems going online? Is your browser giving a lot of popups or problems?

And a bunch more will follow when you supply some feedback.

Personally, I would be running at least 512Mb of ram.

I'd say start with a spyware and virus scan. I suggest Spybot Search and Destroy and/or Ad-aware for the spyware removal. You can get both from downloads.com.

I agree, not enough information to help you out...

Hard Drive size
Operating System (s)
How Much RAM
Video Card
and some other info:

Driver dates
SP2 for XP?
What have you done that changed it from speedy to slow?
What do you have loaded in the tray?

How about we all wait on suggesting things until we get enough info to know what to suggest, eh?

i agree... too bad there isn't a program that will reverse adware back to the add agent that would be awesome. If i was a programmer genius i would make that that caused a loop to crash the add agents server! at least then they might stop crashing everyone elses computer.

I have spent so much money (not to mention time) just deleting those pesky add programs... soryy i just had to vent

...heh
