got this cd-rw/dvd combo drive...
had it for more than a minute (but less than a year)...
ever since i put it into a new mobo (shuttle an35n ultra 400), it's reading as all sorts of gibberish...
like above... and i can't read anything off it...
any ideas? or is this just shot?

Maybe uninstall it through device manager, and let windows reinstall. Check the manufacturer's website for firmware upgrades.

Where does it read as gibberish? What is the brand/model# of the drive?
