socket a fan on 939

Hey guys, i just got my new stuff a few hours ago. i have a 939 pin processor. I forgot to get a fan with it, and i need to have my pc for on sunday. I have a socket a fan. Would i be able to use my socket a fan on my new comp. the bracket on the new motherboard fits my socket a fan. supposedly the new cpu's put out less head, and all that, so i was thinking my old fan should work right?

never mind. i figured it out. It will not work. The fan sizes are the same, but the clips will not work. Also they claim that the fan doesnt provide enough cooling.
