I use PowerDVD which you can get a trial here

http://www.gocyberlink.com/english/prod ... ?ProdId=28

or probably from Kazaa. Anyway mine came with my DVD when I purchased it. I like it because it has a lot of features including one that allows you to take screenshots of the movie

PowerDVD 4 is the best thing out there right now. Kazaa has it for sure.

lol but sorry in this one. Free is a hell of a big word for a M$ product eheh omg

well anyways sticking on topic
VLC is a great program ( really free ;) ) you can use for everything even as streaming server for your house.

DVD features are ok atm sometimes some problems at the menu.

If you want something that just works go with the 2 above. otherwise if you like to try new soft i would deffo try this one :)

Well if u use windows then its free. And for vlc I agree, its the best, forgot about it, and compatibl with any system. Plays any codec too. Never had a problem (cannot say the same about mediaplayer and divx).
