I have no idea what happened to my computer. I was listening to my music...i went away for awhile came back...and my com's got no sound.
i checked control panel...it says no audio device detected but my soundblasters are plucked in properly.
Could someone list some possibilites of what could have happened and what i can do?
THANKSS

Try ajusting your sound card, take it out and put it back.
some times it works. The same with video cards etc..
of course your PC has to be turned off. whenener you are ready, turned it back on and it may fix the problem. If not, then RIGHT CLICK on my computer on desktop, click on Properties (If you are using Windows Xp OS) then click on the tab, "Hardware", the click on the button Device Manager. Now see if the divice is there, if it is the it may be a volumen problem. if not, may be your sound card doesn't work any more. If it is a sound problem, then goto Star ->All program (Windows XP OS) -> Accessories -> Entertainment -> Volume Control and check that in none of them the mute option is checked.

 Sometimes computers are crazy, sometimes it can be a minimun little detail that you don't even notes. Try these to see what happends.
