Post 3+ Months Ago

I have just recently changed my 512 DDR with 256 of 533MHZ. after booting up my computer the switch broke of and when I switched again, it put on with a 3sec beep with nothing appearing in the screen. can the RAM chip with diffrent frequencies cause damage to the system? My main board is something for VIA with a Celeron processor of 2.4GHz. the mainboard is switching okay. I tried the following, returning back the original DDR of 512 and nothing changed, I cleaned the slot again nothing happened, I removed the CMOS battery and nothing changed. what can I do to restore my system? :o
