I'm buying an OEM Intel Q6600 Qaud-core without the fan and new motherboard and ram. I currently have an AMD 4800 X2 939 processor with the stock fan/heat sink. I'm wondering if it will be safe/non damaging to use the stock fan from my amd processor with the new intel processor for a few days until I get a new fan/heat sink delivered.

I wouldn't even attempt it, it's not worth risking your new quad core with a hacked up AMD fan.
