I was installing RAM in my laptop yesterday and when I tried to remove the cover a 2nd time, I stripped out the screw real bad (I was using a screw driver that was too big). I didn't have the right size at the time and I know I should stopped at some point but I kept going regardless. I went to the local hardware store and tried every precision screw driver / alan wrench they had and nothing will grab it...

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this out now? They said I should try to drill it out but that doesn't sound healthy for my laptop components...

Can you grip the head with needle nosed pliers?

I'm not saying use this exact set, but I used similar tools to get stripped screws out when I was a house painter.

Strong with this one, the sudo is.
